Shoe Size Measurements and Conversions

Sizes Schmizes!  ....  We would love one universal guide that accurately translates the worlds suppliers shoe sizes but there just isn't one out there.  Each country seems to interpret their size conversions.

WHAT SIZES TO ORDER

Gumboots tend to be best bought a size larger as you can then wear socks or and insole to fill any gap but a too small boot is a tragedy so always go up.

MEASUREMENTS

If you are measuring a shoe, the Innersole is what you need to measure not the outside of a boot this .

If you are measuring your foot:  measure your foot from the heel to the longest toe in a straight line best to stand on the measure.

For Adult Shoes: Add 1cm to get the correct measurement for your shoe.  Each product has a size chart to relate to and we have some conversion charts in our website footer as a general guide.

SIZE CHARTS

The charts you find on this page are a guide only.  Please use the Charts on the product pages which are supplied by the manufacturer for their shoes as this gives you their interpretation.

WIDE OR THICK FEET

Remember to take into account if your foot is wide or thick (height) as you may need to go up a size.  If you always wear thick socks you may also be more comfortable with a bigger size.

NARROW FEET

In turn narrow feet may not need to go up a size.

BAMBOO SOCKS, INNER SOLES AND WRONG SIZES

For Gumboots if the boots are too small there is not much to do,  If Gumboots are too big you can add an innersole.  Sheepskin or Gel Inner Soles (see in store) are Fabulous for filling gaps.

Our Bamboo Socks are a must, once you try them you wont get anything else for all your boots and shoes.  They assist in breathability and make any boot magic to wear.

For Leather Boots we have product that helps to stretch the leather in our Boot Care Section.
